Question : Setting Time Zone settings by user
I have a client that is changing their current Novell system over to a Windows 2003 Enterprise Domain. The clients environment is as follows:
Head office in Mountain TIme Zone
Contains new Domain - Server 2003 Enterprise
Contains 10 new Terminal Servers - Server 2003 Standard
Barracuda Load Balancer balances Terminal Server useage
Three branch offices in three different time zones - Giving us 4 seperate time zones to deal with
All users in the branch offices connect to the corporate network via Thin Clients.
Network has approximately 300 users
As you can see all of the users in the branchs are on Thin Clients and so all access is done at our head office. What I would like to know is how to set it up so when a user in the different time zones log into their Terminal Server Session, the system changes the clock to reflect that time zone? Even though the Time Zone is Mountain where the Terminal Servers are located, I would like the clock to reflect their specific Time Zone because we use time sensative applications.
FInally I would like to know if there is a solution that would allow me to control the Time Zone change at the user level or would this have to be done at the OU level? Thank-you.
Answer : Setting Time Zone settings by user
"
Does that indicate that it see's the time zone on the Thin Client and changes the time zone automatically in the RDP session "
