Question : Outlook 2007 constantly asking for password on open - OWA

I have a client with 2 pc's, XP Pro and Vista, both using Microsoft Office 2007.

The client has a contract with his ISP for remote Mail (Telstra Business Mail Advanced) - which are essentially Microsoft Exchange mailboxes.

The server requires RPC over HTTPS enabled (OWA).

Every time the user opens Outlook, after a reboot, after closing it 5 seconds ago, whatever - Outlook asks for the password every time it opens - even when Remember my password is selected.

Both PC's have this issue.

I got no idea how to fix this I've tried everything!

Help?

Answer : Outlook 2007 constantly asking for password on open - OWA

From the comments section on my previous link -
"Solved! You have to create two entries in the Manage Passwords. One of them is *.FQDN (the FQDN you use in the RPC over HTTPS proxy setting) and the other is the full DNS name of your mail server: *.yourdomain.com
Both entries should contain your user name in DOMAIN\username format and your password.
This worked for me."

This seemed to have worked for some. Make sure you also enable "Only connect to proxy servers that have the principal name..." options above and enter "msstd:mail.pm.telstra.com" in the box.
