Question : Question on Log shipping setup out of sync alert

In setting up the log shipping.  I have a backup from last night off primary I have restored this to secondary from Primary.

there are transactional logs on the primary server since the backup, do I need to apply them manually to the secondary server before creating log shipping?

you can do one of the following three.
In the Initialize the Destination Databases screen, either:
Click Take full database backup now.
or-
Click Use most recent backup file to initialize the destination database.
or
In the Out of Sync Alert box, specify how long a time has passed between the last transaction log backup on the source server and the last transaction log restore on the destination server.

This is from the books online.
If you had applied the backup already i suggest you should specify when the last transaction log is applied in other words the time of your backup.
