Question : Can't create an appointment in Outlook calendar

When I am in my Outlook calendar, and I try to create a new appointment, nothing happens. No matter how I try to create a new appointment ( NEW button, file/ new/ appointment, Ctrl-N, double click on the date, etc, etc ) absolutely nothing happens. Most other buttons work, and most other functions work, just not those -- ( I can also not create an all day event, or a new meeting request, or a new recurring appointment.)
No error message, just nothing happens. Any ideas?

Greetings, kburmaster !
1.Reboot the PC and then try to create an appointment.
2. Repair Outlook. With Outlook open, go to Help > Detect and Repair.
3. Your PST file may be corrupt. Run ScanPST http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/outlook/repair.html
4. Create a new Outlook profile. http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/profile.htm
5. If no joy, reinstall Outlook. Go to Add/Remove Programs and highlight Microsoft Office. Click on Install/Uninstall. A menu will pop allowing you to choose repair or reinstall.
