Question : How to clone Windows 2000 system

I need to create an exact clone of a critical Windows 2000 system, so that if the HD crashes, I can just put the cloned drive in and continue running the specialized programs installed on it.  It runs a medical program that is very difficult to reinstall--I don't need to retain the data collected on the HD, just run the programs without having to reconfigure anything.  I've done this before with ezgig on laptops, but that was many years ago, so would like to know what works easily and reliably with Win 2000.

Answer : How to clone Windows 2000 system

I use both Ghost and Acronis True Image. Both have their perks, but I'll agree that if this is purely for a backup hard drive to go on the *same* machine/hardware, Ghost is your best bet. However, if you plan to put this data/programs on a different/faster PC sometime soon, I would suggest you try Acronis TrueImage with Universal Restore.
