Question : Word has encountered a problem... - particular terminal services client only

Error at word startup: Word has encountered a problem and needs to close...
Happens to only 1 of 15 terminal services client users.
Application: Winword  Module: MSO.DLL  Exception 0cX0000005

From the user's profile on the server, I have done the following:
1. Deleted Normal.dot - on word startup it's recreated, problem still exists
2. There are no files in the word Startup folder
I am able to start in safe mode, and by running winword.exe /a   but when I attempt to open a document....exception occurs
Deleted the DATA sub-key in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Data  - no change
Made sure the windows default printer is connected and works (printed test page)

Running out of ideas. This happens with only 1 of my terminal services users, so I must assume that there is something in the user's profile that is incorrect......
