Does MS DOS recognize / detect SATA Hardisk's that had been installed, lets say for using the Fdisk command to format a particular drive (SATA)?

Answer : MS DOS and SATA

First thing. FDISK will not format any drive. FORMAT have to be used after creation of a partition with FDISK.
DOS depends on BIOS with disk access. So, DOS will work with SATA as long as BIOS will provide support for it.
