Question : How do I make shared folders available to the generic user?
I'm new to this Server 2003 thing, so please bear with me...
I have installed Server 2003 R2 and set it up as a File Server; the server belongs to an existing Workgroup. I have set two folders to be shared using the Manage Your Server -> Add Shared Folders.
The only way I can access those folders is to sign on as the Administrator, which is not what I want my users to do.
How do I fix this?
Answer : How do I make shared folders available to the generic user?
2003 Server is NOT designed to work in a workgroup.
The only solution is to add all the exising users into the machine and then they may access shared resources.
I hope this helps !
