Question : Workstation cannot access Workgroup Server

We changed certain settings on out Small Business Server yesterday:
Server Management -> Security Groups, User Templates.
The idea was to create a user with limited access rights.
We dont use active directory. We dont use a domain, just a Workgroup (set up on each client PC that is).
We share a Folder on the Server, every authenticated user has full access.
Today certain workstations are denied access to the server. The Authentication window doesnt even display, its like the Server has identified THAT workstation and is completely denying it from connecting at ALL. Weird thing is they can still check their mail on the exchange server, so I dont think its a firewall issue. The firewall monitor also doesnt show any entries of denied access etc.

Where must I look!?!

Answer : Workstation cannot access Workgroup Server

Hello idsafs,

why the **** are you using a workgroup instead of a domain ????
really, why the heck did you buy a sbs server if you don't use it ???
this setup really doesn't make any sense at all.

you shoul setup an sbs server the way it needs to be setup and that is as a DOMAIN environment.
