Question : Problems with BASC-2 POP and Data On the Run 5.0 for HP iPAQ

I am installing BASC-2 Portable Observation Program onto a HP iPAQ pocket pc with Windows Mobile 5.0.  Whenever I start the install it gets nearly all the way thru and I get a dos screen and an error that says "Can't find adofiltr.dll".  It will let me go past this point with the install.  It will install onto the pocket pc.  However the problem comes after I also put Data On the Run 5.0 on also I try to open the BASC-2 program on the pocket pc.  I get a fatal error message and the program shuts down. I need to know if the adofiltr.dll file (which is a database transfer file that I believe is in the path) is what is causing the problem or if there is something else wrong?

I did not say that ActiveSync is the problem, i mentioned that the ActiveSync is not installed in the default location. IN some applications the path to pickup the adofiltr.dll file is sometimes hardcoded. So if ActiveSync is not installed in the default location then it might cause a problem during installation as is happening in your case.
