Question : Restore Mailbox to Different Exchange server - using Backup Exec with Exchange 2003
Using Exchange 2003 SP2 with Backup Exec for Windows version 10d.
Have two Exchange 2003 servers in a single domain. The second is purely in case of hardware failure of the primary. All public folders have been replicated from the Primary. All Mailbox's exist on the primary. It is required to be able to restore all mailbox's to this second Exhange server incase of failure.
For testing purposes I have moved a mailbox to new server using the WIZARD and restored OK.
Next I tried to restore an entire MAILBOX to the standby server. Keeps failing with Access Denied.
Is this possible to achieve this step and test DR. The standby server also has a different install location than that of the primary i.e. PRIMARY = c:\programs files\etc and STANDBY = d:\program files\etc
