Question : Adobe Premier 6.5 exported movie audio problems
|
|
i hope that this is the right question for this sort of thing.
Here is exactly what i do. On the file menu i select open. I open my movie, which is a DivX movie into premier. I don't start a new project i just open the clip. I then take the movie and using the Export Timeline option i export the movie which is the first selection to make under the export menu item. After the movie has been exported the audio is gone. I then went back to the export timeline and chose export audio instead of movie and when i played the audio i hear nothing.
Now lets backtrack a little i used Dr.DivX to convert this movie which originally was in MPEG format not sure which one probably mpeg2. After Dr.DivX did its thing I used the divx player and after about 30seconds the autio stopped playing for 3seconds and then restarted at which point now the audio is out of sync with the video. But when i play that same file using winamp i do not see the audio sync problem. so i think my problem is with the original file and not premier. I would like to use premier to fix my current problem any suggestions?

DivX is the problem. Leave the video as MPEG-2 or convert it to anything RAW. MOV, AVI, whatever, as long as youre not compressing it. Then import it into Premiere.
