Question : Trying to backup exchange 2007 information store!

Hi,

we have exchange 2007 sp1, and it's information stores are being backed up successfully with be11d.

we also have another server running exactly the same and the backups of the information stores are failing:

e0001207 - To support individual mailbox message and folder restores from Information Store backups, you must download and install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects package version 06.05.7888 or later on the Exchange 2007 serveFor additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-4615

i have uninstalled the current MAPI,CDO.  installed the latest version, rebooted many occasions, ran a repair of BE11d also using a specific user accoutn in AD with domain admin rights and exchange admin rights to run the BE11d services and a mailbox on the exchange 2007 server to authenticate against, but still failing!!

ideas?

Answer : Trying to backup exchange 2007 information store!

1) I would make sure that you run the MS Update ( NOT windows update ! ) via the option in Windows update.

2) have you run DCDIAG and NETDIAG  in verbose mode to see if this is a permissions issue ?

3) Run exchange Best practices analyzer  ( BPA )
