Question : SPAM stuck in SMTP queue (NDR)

I'm running Exchange 2003 on server 2003 with all the latest SP and hotfixes.  I'm trying to find an efficient way of getting rid of emails stuck in the SMTP queue.  Just by looking at the domain names I know they're all spammers.  I assume my server is trying to send NDRs back to the originating mail server but of course they don't exist so my server keeps trying.  It doesn't seem that any of the messages are being delete after a certain amount of retries and are staying in the queue.  It's a real pain to delete them all individually.

Is there a way I can decrease the amount of retries to see if the stuck messages will be removed?  I would also entertain mass manual removal solutions but I don't think there's an efficient way of doing that, that I can find anyway.

Answer : SPAM stuck in SMTP queue (NDR)

I have a similar problem.
The first thing to consider is that the messages (spam or not) addressed to your domain will knock on your door. What you have to do is some kind of grey-listing:
The first time you get a msg from an unknown domain you «refuse» it for 5min or so, Almost all trusted sources support retries, spammers usually don´t
I reduced the spam quantity for more than 50%
Do you have any gtw between exchange and internet?
