Question : Lotus Notes Connector for Exchange 2003 - "Timeout on resource lock"

Hello,
We are experiencing what is seen in this Microsoft KB article except for Exchange 2003 (the KB is for Exch 5.5). http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197509

We have reinstalled the connector, recreated the databases on the notes side, the only thing that has changed on this server is some critical updates were installed but we removed them. The connector was working fine before the critical updates. The critical updates had nothing to do with exchange or the Notes connector.
Nothing changed on the Notes side but we recreated the notes databases anyway because this is one of the "quirk" fixes to do when having this problem. we can also open Notes on this server and get into the mailboxes required for this connector. all the parts that the connector needs has been verified. Just the connector will not work.
We have looked at so many KB articles but they mostly date back to 5.5 and are somewhat unhelpful in their instructions.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Code section has some of our errors in app event log.

You may have to restore from backups the OS portion and some of the critical DB's and see if you can get them to work, or rebuild in a LAB or VM environment.
