Question : configuring/installing Exchange 2003 using Double-take for failover
|
|
I am in the process of setting up a exchange high availability solution using double-take so i can learn how this works.
i currently have: a DC called DC1 (domain.local is the domain) Exchange 2003 called Exch1 (source exchange server)
i have another server with server 2003 installed which is not a member of the domain.local AD. (this will be the target exch server)
i am confused what to do next and how to get this working like we would in a productive enviornment, an i cannot find a good guide what do do to get this working in best practice.
i understand this: I cannot join the target server to the domain using the same exchange server name i cannot join another exchange server to the exchange organisation within the forest with the same name
i am confused what to do to the source and target servers to get the working properly as i cant just install exchange on the target with the same name to the existing org.
please can any one advise what my next steps are to configuring a standby target from my source live exch1 server using double-take.
thanks
