Question : INTERNAL STACK OVERFLOW ERROR WHEN BOOTING UP WITH GHOST

I have created ghost boot disks with images on them and they all work except when I boot into a HP DC7100 Convertible Minitower, it will boot but when it goes into ghost all you get is the hour glass and it haults. If you move the mouse you will hear almost like a RAM beep error then the "Internal Stack Overflow", note that I have two images on this disk, DC7100 and DC7600 and the DC7600 works find with the DVD. Also, I tried the bootable DC7700 that I have and I get the same hault error but it works on the DC7700 etc. It must be a hardware error but I can't seem to find it and don't want to have to replace all my DC7100's on the network.

Thanks in advance.

Answer : INTERNAL STACK OVERFLOW ERROR WHEN BOOTING UP WITH GHOST

I assume you have Ghost and the images on DVD.

Could well be a fault with the DVD drive on the HP; try it on another HP DC7100 or try another DVD drive.

It could also be a fault such as memory on the HP.  Download the UBCD http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ and run the memory tester over the machine for a couple of hours.
