Question : What does the Intel ICH9 USB - 2938 driver do. Can it be deleted? - AND - about IRQ rearranging.
Hello,
I am getting crackling from my M-Audio Delta 1010LT PCI soundcard. (XP Pro SP3)
This comes when playing many midi notes thru the GigaStudio3 sampler program.
I believe it might be an IRQ problem as my IRQ 21 shares this card with:
Intel ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2938.
What does this ICH9 - #2938 do and could I delete it?
Or reduce the time it is polled?
-ALSO please - : does IRQ 21 mean it gets the least priority? If so, how can I move it up?
I have a DFI Lanparty DK X48-T2RS motherboard. I'm using PCI slot #1 of 3.
There seems to be some items in the BIOS about PCI slots being auto(ESCD) or manual and about specific IRQ #s being assigned.
I fiddled with this a bit but could didn't see any rearranging of IRQ #s.
I'm going nuts with this and could really use some help.
Thanks . . . Dave
