Question : Firefox cannot access Internet - IE CAN!

This is an XP Home system.  IE has no problems acessing the internet but Firefox cannot.  I have disabled all firewalls - makes no difference.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled - no luck.  Any ideas?

There is probably a corruption the Firefox user profile. Create a new Firefox profile
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile

If the new profile works, move the extensions and bookmarks from the old to new profile.

If no joy, you need to backup the bookmark.html file in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profile folder.  Then delete the profile folder.  Uninstall Firefox. Then, install new Firefox.
