Question : Delegate authority to unlock workstation

Is it possible to delegate the authority to unlock workstations to non-administrators?

I would like to set up a group of people that are allowed to unlock workstations, perhaps even only certain workstations.

We are running a NT 4.0 domain, soon to upgrade to AD.  Our workstations are a combination of Win2k/WinXP.  We have several PCs on the plant floor used by multiple people.  I can't continue to let them stay logged in, and automatically locking their workstation only results in people going home, with their workstations locked.

Automatically logging users off is one solution, but they take a while to log back in again. (They are fairly old PCs) Ideally, I would have add all users of a particular PC to a group which is allowed to unlock/logoff that PC, and then they could log in themselves.

Any ideas?

Only the "locker" of the PC and administrators are allowed this type of access, as far as i can tell it's hardwired. The only way to get another user the ability to unlock the pc is with admin rights on the local pc.

It allows you to do a bit more than just log someone off. 200 bucks

XP Clients, however can have multiple person's loged on to one PC, even when a XP pc is locked, you can log in as another user.

Again, I do not think there is any other way to unlock a PC without the proper priv, of administrator or the logged in user.
