Question : Keyboard mapping for excel spreadsheets.

Is there a way to map special characters over to keys on my keyboard.

Example:

I need to use a letter in the German language. It is an 'A' with two dots over it.

How can I gain access to this on my American keyboard while I am in excel.

Here is the perfect solution Change your keyboard to German when you want.Go to your control Panel, Keyboard Language tab Add, Pick German, Apply, you have the option of having it on the taskbar or use Alt+Shift to switch between languages.Now when you open Excel switch to German.
The keys that have been maped are all the keys that DO NOT have letters on them ä is comma ü is [ and so on try them out you will see what you need
