Question : Header and footer not repeating in Word 2003

In Word 2003, my title page has just the title, the next page has no header or footer, this is what I want so far. But from then on, I want the title of the doc in the header and the page numbers beginning with "2" and numbering sequencially in all subsequent pages. But it is not showing up, either the doc name in the header or the numbers in the footer, only on the one page I typed them in. I've done link to previous and nothing is happening.
