Question : Access 97 SubReport RecordSource Reference

How do I reference the RecordSource of s SubReport in the report_open procedure?

My applications data spans many years. Each year has seperate tables. I want to create one report and then change the RecordSource at runtime.  I can do this on the MainReport but not on the SubReport.

I tried:
Reports![report_name]![subreport_name].Report.RecordSource
and
Me![subreport_name].Report.RecordSource

They both don't work.  Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a book out there that might explain working with SubReports?  I can't seem to find one that talks about SubReports.  They all seem to write a lot about SubForms though.
