Question : Microsoft, Entourage, 2004.3.5

Entourage is so slow, the spinning ball (computer is thinking) occurs frequently the entourage program stops responding...and I can hear the computer thinking, like its backing up a database or something, a read/write kind of noise. the only way out is to hard reboot the computer otherwise it will not come back from the spinning ball.

i did disk permission and verify disk and everything seem to be fine.  the last thing i did is upgrade entourage to the latest patch .3.7 i think.

any idea?  the computer is core 2 duo macbook pro with 2gb memory and plenty disk space over 90gb free.

Try rebuilding your Entourage database.  Open Entourage while holding down option.  It should bring up the Database Utility.  Select rebuild.
