Question : Safe to delete Mailbox Store?
|
|
Howdy,
When I was looking through Event Logs last week, I ran into some checksum errors. One of the easiest ways to get rid of these (according to eventid.net) was to create a new mailbox store and move all mailboxes to it, so this is exactly what I did.
The process completed successfully although it took quite some time. So now, I have two mailbox stores; one of which I don't intend on using anymore. Still, the priv.edb file occupies a lot of space.
I have three items in the old mailbox store that could not be moved to the new one: SMTP (SERVERNAME--{SID}) Size: 0KB System Attendant Size: 0KB SystemMailbox={SID} Size: 361KB, 401 Items
I am wondering how I should handle the remaining items before I delete the old store and if there is anything that requires extra attention when I actually delete the store. Is it safe to delete the old mailbox store in the first place?
Thanks for any help! :)
