We are using Exchange 2007 SP1 with Outlook 2003 clients and some messages, mostly meeting invitation, are getting stuck in the messages queue and this seems to cause 4 or 5 transaction logs to be generated per second until the hard drive is full. When you delete the messages in the queue, the log file behavior returns to normal.
Here are some of the details from the message properties: Identity: \4008\30604 Status: Retry Size (KB): 8 Message Source Name: FromLocal Source IP: 255.255.255.255 SCL: -1 Date Received: 1/23/2008 9:57:30 AM Expiration Time: 1/25/2008 9:57:30 AM Last Error: 430 4.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:MapiExceptionCanNotComplete
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
TIA!

Looks like a corrupt mailbox. I would copy out the mails using Outlook, or move it to another store. Corrupt messages aren't going to move. After copying what you can, remove mailbox from user. Wait 15 mins, readd it. Test it with new appts/messages, then slowly start moving the old stuff back in.
