Question : MSExchangeSA Event ID: 9335 (After removing a backend server)
Hi experts!
I had in my exchange domain, 3 servers. Two servers as backends and one as frontend.
My environment was not supposed to have two backends. I was doing that just to move the mailboxes to the other server.
The problem is the server I had to remove was the first exchange server. I followed this paper from MS:
http://support.microsoft.c
om/kb/8333
96
And when I tried to remove exchange from that server, I received an error stating that there was mailboxes on the server. After some research I found two user accounts that for some reason still had "Exchange Attributes" but no mailboxe. After removing exchange attributes from this two accounts, removing exchange was easy. Followed removing wizard. Everything worked fine.
So, after everything was done, started testing everything.
I can send external and internal e-mail. I can receive internal and external e-mail, meaning, mail comunication is fine.
The only problem is this: When I click Send/Receive on Outlook 2003, I receive a warning stating that a object could not be found with error code 0X8004010F.
Googled for that and found this site:
http://support.microsoft.c
om/kb/9058
13
Did the steps for Exchange 2003 and when I hit "Rebuild", I get this error on event viewer:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeSA

Event ID: 9335

Well... Now I'm kind of stuck because I think this could be something bad.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Answer : MSExchangeSA Event ID: 9335 (After removing a backend server)
Hey there,
You should make sure each and every OAB has a valid server listed in the Replication tab. All hidden under Exchange System Manager then in the Offline Address Book folders.
Once you've added a server to replicate to give it 30 minutes or so and try a rebuild again.
