Question : Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user using more than one user name are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
Hi,
I am renaming the workstations at one of the customers who I admin the network for. When I logon to each PC, and go through the process og renaming, it asks me to enter a user account with correct user rights and permissions to do this, when i do I get the above error message.
Any ideas please would be greatly appriated.

Darren

Doesn't make a difference.
Have you tried the
net use * /delete
command? When you run
net use
aftertwards, does it list anything?
Are there any services on that machine running under a user account?
