Answer : How to change machine name in NT

in windows NT it is not under the my computer, that is windows 2k and windows XP if I am not mistaken

he needs to go into the properties for network.

either right click the network icon on the desktop and go to properties, or go into the control panel and choose network

then you will see your domain name and computer name

choose the change button


you can then change the computer name.

if your on a Windows domain, I would suggest checking with your domain administrator before doing this though.
