Question : general protection fault in CRPE.DLL
|
|
I am having an issue with a specific user in Raiser Edge. When this specific user tries to print or preview a report she gets a general protection fault in CRPE.DLL. The only way I can get around it is to completely delete the users roaming profile from the server and the local compute and then recreate it. Other users of this application do not have this problem. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Even print preview relies on the installed printers.....
Try running through this sequence...
Totally remove the driver, once you deleted the printer. Then go to Printers and faxes>File>Server Properties>Drivers, and delete whats there. Then reinstall from scratch with fresh drivers.....
Once the printer is deleted, go to start<>run>cmd
net stop spooler net start spooler
That should free up the drivers to delete them.....
Also, download the following and try and use cleanspl.exe to make sure the spooler is indeed clean....
