Question : Dell Inspiron 1501 Slow typing response and ATI driver problem

I have an annoying slow typing response on my Dell Inspirion 1501. I have been researching to resolve this issue for many months. I came across a possible solution at www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic205772.html. It seems to work, but when i reboot, the driver that I had previsouly uninstalled reappears as active. Then the slow typing response problem returns.  Please offer any suggestions to stop this annoying delay when typing.

If you remove the ATI driver .inf file after uninstalling then Windows won't be able to reinstall the ATI version of the driver and will then default to the Microsoft version.
