Question : Create Hyperlink to Report within Access
I have a couple of reports that I created in a MS Access 2007 database. I want to create hyperlinks that I can post on my intranet site that open these reports specifically. I have no problem creating a hyperlink to the database, I just want a hyperlink that opens the database so that it displays the particular report that I am referencing. I do not want to export a report to another format from Access and then post that because the data changes frequently thus a static report would be no good. I found lots of article on how to create hyperlinks to specifics with Access but I need an external link. I am also open to other possibilities for displaying this information on my intranet site as long as it gets updated when the data changes in the database, I do not want to export anything static.
Answer : Create Hyperlink to Report within Access
TimSharpe02118,
Does it *have* to be a hyperlink?
You can make an Access shortcut to any object by simply dragging the object from the DB to the desktop.
You can put this shortcut anywhere, and it will open the report directly.
