Question : epson dfx-9000 printer driver

i have a epson dfx-9000 and im having a problem printing to it with the epson driver from the website. i have tried 2 different xp pro  machines one with serial and one usb i get the same result.  it prints fine with the generic text and ibm 9 pin the only issue with that is people cant read the print / cant tell a 8 from a 6  or a G from a 6 and things like that.


i have called epson and they where no help at all . any ideas?
