Question : Lightwave rendering with screamer-net
|
|
Anybody know how to render a scene in lightwave using multiple cpu's on a network with screamernet II?
I lost my manual and cant figure out how to get lightwave to find the other computers since they all have lightwave running and I have TCP/IP and IPX running and am using NT WS 4 and lightwave 5.5.
I am only a beginner with lightwave so please make any answers simple :)

Setup a shared directory with write access on the master computer. This will be the screamernet Command directory. e.g. c:\newtek\sn
On the Master run lwsn.exe -2 \\Master\sn\job1 \\Master\sn\ack1 On the first slave run lwsn.exe -2 \\Master\sn\job2 \\Master\sn\ack2 On the second slave run lwsn.exe -2 \\Master\sn\job3 \\Master\sn\ack3 etc.
Make sure that the lwsn clients use the right config files.
