Question : Dial-up Network screen keeps popping up
My OS is Win95, and my browser is Netscape Communicator 4.7. The dial-up networking window appears on my desktop when I start up my system, and that's OK as I frequently go directly on line and can do so simply by hitting the "enter" key. However, that window keeps popping up sporadically, regardless of whether I'm on line or not, and it is getting to be annoying. I think "nsnotify.exe" might be the culprit, but I don't know how to stop it from doing what it is doing if I'm right about that. Any suggestions out there?

Have you recently installed a new program like Norton Anti Virus 2001? Or any other program? A lot of new programs include an option to auto check for updates over the internet. When that program is launched it will first look for an update over the internet. If it does not detect a connection to the internet, then it prompts you to connect.
