Question : How do sites like experts exchange get nwe content listed in google so quickly?

I've noticed that when I write to experts exchange, when I look in google again using similar search terms, the page is sometimes there in half an hour or so.

How is this achieved? Is there a way that you can "push" new content to the search engines?

The answer is twofold.  1) When you've been around as long as E-E has and you've got so much fresh content, search engine bots love to crawl your site.  2)  I would imagine that E-E has some sort of automatic pinging set up where once an entry is made, the content is pinged to any number of feeds (including places such as Google and Yahoo).
