Question : Make hard disk backup image, raid 1 recognized as separate disks
I have HP Proliant ML150G3 with 2X160GB hard disks on "sata hostraid (adpahci)" raid controller as RAID1. I found on net that it is not fully hardware controller and that device drivers are needed for it to work. I would like to make backup image of the hard disk, but until now haven't found imaging software that recognized logical raid disk. Imaging software either freezes or recognizes two separate disks.
There are solutions to make images from the OS, but I would prefer OS independent solution because in hard disk failure if I use recovery disk, recover still can't be done if RAID is not recognized.
Any suggestion?
Answer : Make hard disk backup image, raid 1 recognized as separate disks
UBCD4WIN also did not recognize my RAID. If no one has further comments, I will close the question unsolved.
