Question : Windows 98 and SE Product keys.

I have a customer who did have Windows 98 on her computer. I have reformatted the harddrive.  I have the original product key for the 98.  I don't have a copy of Windows 98.
I do have a copy of Windows 98 SE.  Would a 98 product key work with SE?  If it would  would this be legal to do this or would I need to find a Windows 98 CD?  I would apprecaite an answer on this.

Thanks,

Compucharley

Answer : Windows 98 and SE Product keys.

And as an afterthought.......
Going back to whether you can use someone elses Win98 cd?  You absolutely can as long as the user has a valid product key of their own that is registered with Microsoft.
