Question : Lost Partition due to Partition Magic

Hello,

I recently installed partition magic 8.0 to re-size my partitions on my machine which uses windows VIsta. It asked me to fix a few errors, to which I obliged, much to my shame. I understand that Partition Magic is not compatible with vista.

I now can no longer access my partition. Every time I try and use the disk managment tool to play around with my partitions, I get the following error: "The operation failed to complete because the Disk Management view is not up-to-date. Refresh the view using the refresh task. If the problem persists close the Disk Managment console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer"

I have tried all of those suggestions on numerous ocassions but to no avail. I have deleted the partition and tried to recreate it but I get the same error messages, it won't even allow me to format it during creation. I have restored my computer to it's factory settings but of course that only restores the partition that is not affected.

Has anyone encountered this problem or does anyone know how to solve it. I have no data to lose so backup is not a worry here.

Thanks
