Question : OMA Trouble
|
|
I have Windows Exchange Server w/SP 2 installed and users with Windows Mobile 5.0 Treos. They want to use SSL, so I installed a cert from they purchased from GoDaddy, and all looks great. If I force the SSL connection through OWA, all the users can sign on through Oulook Web using the https:// connection no problem. However, the mobile users get a message that the certificate on the server is invalid. Also, if I go to owa."domain".com/oma through Internet Explorer for testing purposes, I have no issue. I tried adding/copying the cert to the TREO manually, and still no luck, They can of course connect through active synch if I turn off SSL on the exchange server, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of the OWA people being forced to connect through a secure connection. Any ideas?

Okay, if the IE will open OMA from the internet using HTTPS, then it has to do with the TREO's configuration.
Possible something to do with the Cert?
Found this comment on the internet: I had this problem with my Treo700 and my GoDaddy SSL cert, that was not trusted. I simply exported the .CER files, moved them to my Treo, and clicked on them. I was then prompted to install them
Also take a look a this. There is a tool to add the root-cert on PocketPC devices, but not Palm devices.

You never mentioned if this if for a 650 or a 700.
