Question : suggestions for turn a windows xp pc into a file server

Hello,
a pc which has a large hard disk space (300gb). its o.s. is windows xp. i want to turn it into a ftp server or a sftp server ? but i don't have much clue to do this? would some experts here have some suggestion? thanks so much!
