Question : Error: no DMPI memory in PC-DOS after unsuccessful Ghost reimage.
I have a brand new IBM X200 Tablet ThinkPad that I am trying to create an image for a large rollout. We have Symantec Solution Suite 2.0 and I have used the Ghost Console to initiate a task to create the image from the laptop via the network. It begins fine in windows but when it reboots into PC-Dos, it fails and remains in PC DOS. You type GHREBOOT at the c:\ghost prompt and you get: Load error: no DMPI memory.
It seems now the laptop is stuck in this loop as it will only boot to PC-Dos, which I am assuming is from the Virtual Partition created by Ghost. So, I have 2 questions:
1) How do I get the laptop out of this loop?
2) I've never seem this problem after hundreds of PC reimages. How do I get by it to image the laptops.
Thanks for any and all help.
Answer : Error: no DMPI memory in PC-DOS after unsuccessful Ghost reimage.
To boot normaly remove the network cable and change the boot device to hard drive as first device.
