Question : SCSI Controller
Hi,
I am newbie to SCSI things and I need experts advice. Please advice me which SCSI controller do I need. Below is my server and storage device details:
I have two IBM servers (1) eserver xSeries 232 [8668] and (2) xseries 225 [8647] and one IBM storage system [TS3100] LT03.
We are planning to move server 1 to server 2 but there is not any external SCSI interface to connect TS3100 with Server 2. Server 2 has internal SCSI controller (ServeRAID 5i Controller).
Server 1 is using Adaptec AIC-7899 Ultra160/m PCI SCSI Card to connect to storage system and it is using ServeRAID 4LX Controller.
I need your help to buy the appropriate SCSI controller for Server 2 so that I can successfully migrate and use storage device.
We are planning to use Windows 2008 server in Server 2. Server 1 is using Windows 2000 sp4.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
