Question : Hyper-V Networking INternal Network

Aloha all.
I have been trying to figure this out for a while, here's the situation:

I'm studying for my MCITP, in doing so I am working with VM's. One VM is a  '08 DC, the other VM is XP.
The host OS or parent is also server 08.
I am working with one NIC, it should suffic.
I have created 2 virtual Networks.
1st Network is External, IP address is 192.168.1.X
This Network is trouble free, my Host or Parent OS as well as both VM's are communicating on this network fine....well almost. My VM's can ping the gateway, but not the host os and vice versa.
They're all in the same subnet, I think the issue might be that the router isn't returning ICMP packets back to the sending port, just a guess. This is just a Netgear home router.

My real issue though, is that I also have a second virtual network configured:
Type: Internal
Subnet:  10.0.0.X/8

to make things eaysy to follow, I have two VMs, VMServer08 and VMServerXP.
VMServer08 is a DC, with DNS, DHCP, and RRAS, which of course none are working because there is no connectivity between any of the 3 machines (2 VM's and the Host).

I have tried statically setting the Internal Adapters, and DHCP with no luck.

I just want my internal Virtual network to work so that I can create a virtual domain for practice. This shouldn't be that difficult right?
I'm new to Hyper-V so please don't look past the obvious. Although I have read seven pages deep into Google on this subject. What I've noticed is most of the articles go through the concepts and the creating of the Virtual network, but don't delve into the IP settings.
Any Help is much appreciated.
