Question : Can I access my home computer from the office proxy server computer ?

I currently have a DSL broadband internet connection at home with a specific IP address.  At the office, I have a permanent proxy server internet connection.   I want to know if I can access my home computer (sharing a hard disk) from my office computer by just typing the IP address of my home computer (assuming my home PC is turned on).  I currently do not have a firewall at home.

If not, is there a shareware or any software available that can help me do that ?

One of the best tools for this kind of thing is VNC. I use it all the time.
