Question : MS Project 2003 - What is the best method for changing a project and all associated tasks to a 7-day calendar?
|

I have created a Project plan using MS Project Professional 2003, and published this project to Project Server 2003. Originally, the Standard calendar had been applied to this project, however, I have been asked to change the working times for this project to the 7-day calendar. Besides changing the working times to a 7-day calendar for the entire project (I don't have any resources assigned yet),do I have to change the calendar on each individual task on the project to reflect a 7-day work week as well? I haven't done this yet and I notice that the durations for these individual tasks are still reflecting the Standard work week, even though I've changed the Working Times on the Project to the 7-day calendar. Thanks.

The duration is actually stored as hours and is simply being displayed as 8 hour days. You can change this preference in Tools->Options->Calendar tab. Set the "Hours per Day" setting to the appropriate value, 24 in your case.
Even before you make this change, you can see in the Gantt chart that the tasks actually have durations based on the 24 hours calendar.
