Question : HP t5720 thin client boots to user automatically used to boot to admin. How do I change it back.

User uses a HP t5720 with XPe to connect to a citrix box. Prior to this week the thin client auto logged in as the admin, now it logs in as user and does not have or save the settings. How do I go back to the admin login. I have used the ctrl-shift-log off to get a login prompt, however the passwords I use are invalid. We have never set a password to my knowledge on this thin client.

First off, the default admin password for *most Windows XP embedded thin clients is Administrator (with a capitalized leading A).
To change the autologon user back to admin: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231
You can use Registry Editor to add your log on information. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK. 2. Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon 3. Double-click the DefaultUserName entry, type Administrator, and then click OK. 4. Double-click the DefaultPassword entry, type Administrator under the value data box, and then click OK. 6. Quit Registry Editor. 7. Click Start, click Restart, and then click OK.
