Question : MS Access 2007 runs databases very slow created in 2003 any advice?

Hello,

We recently started installing MS Office 07 on some of our computers and it is working great, but we are having issues when opening up MS Access 2003 databases. Tables and queries are fine, but it is our forms that are opening up very slowly...
Here is the set-up... Our MS Access 2003 database has most of its data linked to a SQL server 2005, there are plenty of forms and VBA code running as well. We thought it could be a memory issue at first, but our computers are running 1.5GB memory. When using 2003 versions it is fine, but when using 2007 it is very slow and most of the buttons are not working or take a while to load.

any advice...

Thanks,

Is this database split into a Frontend/Backend configuration? If so, try converting a FE to 2007 (open 07, open the database, then convert it) and see if that improves speed. There have been some issues with older versions of access running under 07.

Have the 07 machines applied the newest 2007 service pack?
