Question : Python process taking up CPU time in Fedora 2
|
|
Hello--
I have a Fedora 2 box running mail (@mail). The box hangs intermittently and has to be restarted. Nothing in the /var/log/messages file. Upon observing the system over a period of time using top, I noticed that the system hangs when a process called "Python" takes up about 98% of CPU time.
The problem is intermittent and sometimes comes up within 5 minutes of system restart, sometimes within half hour and some times after an hour..
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this issue.
Thanks in advance, G

It really looks like yoru spam (or antivirus) checker sucks.
Try to deactivate it first of all.
Then, maybe you cn find an upgrade, or another spam/virus checker ?
