Question : Mark as read immediately in outlook 2003.

In outlook 2003 at my work it only seems to mark my mail as read when I move away from it, not when I immediately click on it. This is also annoying because it means it also waits until I've moved away to ask me about receipts and stuff.

Is there a way to make it function more like thunderbird and other webmail equivalents and mark mail as read when I click on it instead of when I exit or move away from the email?

Go to:
Tools-->Options, select the "Other" tab, click the "Reading Pane" button on the lower right.

There you can adjust the settings to your preferences.
